WHO AND HOW AND WHERE IT LEADS.

Try all things. Don’t be a snob at the beginning. I know so many people who feel “above” projects at the start. You need to see things, learn things with low stakes. Try different departments. There are many ways to make a career in film/ tv.

  • I tried being an AD and had a real knack for it, but I had no interest, so I stopped.

  • Play the long game. You work in high stress, high drama, exhausting situations. People want to hire you if you make their lives easier.

    • Don’t be a dick, be prepared, be flexible, etc.

  • Persistence. Stick around long enough.

    • If you continue to pursue, almost everyone you know will eventually bow out.

  • Rarely do people do it alone. Rising tide raises all ships.
